I don't normally do this,
BUT today is my sister Brianna's birthday and like it says in the scripture above this girl truly does wear strength and honor every single day. Thus, this post is going to be about a beautiful daughter of God, my sister, and one of my best friends (don't worry I am not forgetting you Panchi, Coco, or B---but it is her day of birth so yah know hehe).
Happy 17th Birthday to the girl who...
1. Let me cut her hair and give her bangs when mom and dad went on a date... only to be left looking like and I'm quoting my Father here "Mo from the three stooges" btw, I think you rocked it better than Mo ever did!
2. Still loved me even though I cranked up the treadmill to max as her 6 year old little legs did their best to keep up with the machine. I'm still sorry I wasn't able to stop laughing enough to stop the machine and help you hehe
3. Use to play dress up and school with me as we bossed Francine and Kyle around
4. Sends me the weirdest snapchats that make me laugh so hard that sometimes I cry
5. Always said she loved my cooking despite the weird and strange food combinations I'd come up with (well.. most times haha)
6. Would stay up with me late at night either watching movies, talking about boys, or how wonderful our God truly is
7. Would help me talk Brandon into helping us curl our hair when time was running short
8. Understands my craziness and loves me nonetheless
9. Has always and still continues to convince me that I am actually adopted from China
10. Helped me dress up Kyle like a girl only to have dad get mad and tell us we were never allowed to do that again
11. Despite all the heartache she's been through continues to smile and love life
12. Rode her bicycle beside me as I would go for a run because you hated (and still do) the concept of running for fun
13. Has a heart of Gold and loves those whom she comes in contact with so unconditionally
14. Stayed up finishing an art project for me at a time when my life was completely falling apart
15. Continues to push me to be better and doesn't let me get away with basically anything
16. Constantly inspires me to be more valiant and strong
17. Has the most beautiful soul and truly exemplifies what a Proverbs 31 woman ought to be.
To the girl who is now 17 years old, my sister Brianna, you are a blessing in my life.
The wonderful thing is that I have actually been blessed with TWO amazing sisters who continue to amaze me (even though they steal my clothes and stuff) and TWO incredible brothers who are more like my second and third dad. Growing up people always said "Your siblings will be your best friends" and it took me going away to Utah to attend BYU to truly see the truth in that statement.
It's actually quite simple,
I have been blessed with the best siblings ever...
....and I wouldn't trade them for the world.
