This past week in my Book of Mormon class we talked about the importance of coming unto Christ. In 2 Nephi 2: 6-7 it states “Wherefore, redemption cometh in and through the Holy Messiah; for he is full of grace and truth. Behold, he offereth himself a sacrifice for sin, to answer the ends of the law, unto all those who have a broken heart and a contrite spirit..”
I thinks its amazing to know that Christ’s love for us is so profound and unconditional that He died so we could live with Him again someday. I think of my life and of all the hardships I’ve encountered and when it comes down to it I would not have been able to get through those times had it not been for my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that by His grace we are saved and because of His atoning sacrifice we are never alone in our struggles or pain. I can’t express how thankful I to know that He is always there for us with arms wide open ready to welcome us in His divine love.
The thing I truly love about the scripture I stated above is that though He is always there for us no matter what the circumstances it’s us who have to make that choice to come unto Him “those who have a broken heart and a contrite spirit”. Though, I strongly believe we should always be looking towards The Lord, it’s amazing to know that when those hardships come He is there carrying us through it all.
I just want all of you to know that I know God lives and that Jesus Christ is not only our Savior and Redeemer but He is also our brother and friend. I know that when we humble ourselves and look to The Lord we will be able to overcome any trial/obstacle that may come our way. I know that God is readily waiting for us to come unto Him, He loves us. I know that this life I live really isn’t mine, I live for Him. I stand in awe knowing that He trust me enough to allow me to be a witness of the truthfulness of His divine gospel. I know this church is true, I invite all of you to also come to learn of it’s truth, that you may also feel His never ending love.
