What up, What up!

I know I am AWFUL at keeping my blog updated on my college experience and no I am not making any promises about "being better at posting" because I HATE breaking promises. So whenever I have time I will try to keep you updated on my oh so exciting life haha.

Some things I have learned while being at college:

1. Crying is okay, it's actually a good thing if you cry every once in a while

2. You do not, I repeat, YOU DO NOT have to ask your college professor to use the restroom. If you do (like I did in my Book of Mormon class which has 150 people in it) the people in your class AND your professor will laugh. All I'm saying is that if your bladder is like homie it's time then just get up and go and then come back.

3. Find a coping mechanism for stress. Trust me, you're going to need one. I unfortunately need to be very cautious about how much I exercise due to my background of health and such so when stressed I can't just go out, run a few miles, and be all better. What I found that really works for me is cleaning. When stressed I will make my bed, pick up and throw away all the trash, tidy up all of my clothes.

It may not sound fun to you but boy this works wonders for me haha.

4. If you go on a date have a code word with some of your friends/roommates JUST IN CASE something happens during the date and you need to escape. Seriously the code word works wonders.

5. Go out and mingle even if you don't want to. At least go check out the event and if it is just absolutely awful feel free to leave- but you never know who you'll meet so you might as well go check it out!

6. Try try try to not walk around and about alone at night- I do admit I am awful at following this rule but you just never know who might be "lurking" around so it's better to be safe than sorry!

7. If you find yourself constantly thinking "I'm so awkward" remember It is only awkward if YOU make if awkward. Like my good friend Eli says "Awkwardness = constantly being self-conscious and Not feeling awkward = confidence" or something like that, but you get the jist of it! Just be yourself and let things happen as they should!

8. Communication is KEY to having a good ANYTHING haha. I have been blessed with really awesome roommates and we have good communication so make sure that good communication is established- it will make living with them so much easier.

Any who, that's all the advice I can think of for now (I mean, I'm not exactly a pro here since it's not even half-way through my first semester).

I hope you are all doing absolutely fabulous! Remember to smile always!

Go read Alma 26:12 :)
